New research has found that Noongar culture and arts can play a powerful role in strengthening young children’s capabilities to experience and communicate about their well-being. Research by Edith Cowan University (ECU) and the University of Melbourne examined the Deadly Arts Early Years program offered by The Song Room and delivered across two Perth primary schools, where children aged three to seven learned Noongar language, dance, storytelling and art through immersive cultural activities led by Indigenous and non-Indigenous teaching artists.
